I’ve been framed!!

Or rather, my work has!

Last year, I bizarrely decided the world was just dying to own some of my floral oil paintings, which was my bad, as it turned out to be just my mother did!

Ha! I jest, a couple of friends took pity on me too. ย This was a good lesson to learn – it takes time to grow your art business, and you’ve got to be in it for the long haul.

Since then I almost went insane worked hard to set up a print shop of some of my work.

But given that I can’t not paint, I have a ton of paintings sitting around – so I thought I’d ask my ever saintly husband to learn to become a framer, because how hard could it be?

Weellll….it’s a bit tricky, but I’m so pleased with what he’s done so far! Like these two shown above. Ironically, the bit I hate is painting them, ironically!

And if I can sell a few then great, if not, I’m hanging up in my house!

What a fantastic husband, he has done a fantastic job, your paintings look superb in them….I totally get the hate painting bit….I don’t like that or painting walls.

I agree, what a husband you have and also what a bang-up job of framing! I have a son-in-law who want to learn how to frame my paintings, we’ll see about that! I understand how you feel about promoting the art, it takes time and patience and can be frustrating. I am at the point of not knowing what to do, where to turn….so in the meantime I paint! Even if my family have to dispose of all my artwork after I die, I won’t be around to see what happens to it all. So, I will paint in the meantime and figure it all out eventually. ๐Ÿ™‚

Vicki, your work is simply gorgeous and beautifully framed, even better. You just need to find your audience and your stuff will fly off the shelves. *fly, be free little paintings!* (Seriously, though. Awesome stuff.) โค

Happy to meet you also, I am just starting my business and working with acrylics etc… So I really relate to the being in it for the long haul.

Beautiful work by both the artist and the framer. Good plan to keep it all in the family. I’m sure these will find a new home soon. ๐Ÿ™‚
