    Love! Wow, this reminds me of Debi Riley’s work, totally cool! What surface are you working on and I assume this is acrylic? Love that you’re using steel wool, I’d have never thought of this! ❤

      Hey Laura – it’s ink on a bit of gessoed plywood – because I apply my gesso with a palette knife it leaves texture, which sometimes becomes starting points for compositions, other times the marks are totally in the way!

    I love this, Vicki! I’m learning to use more of these techniques in my watercolors, and it does make painting so much fun. I really like the trees you’ve scratched out. Actually I love everything about it.

      Thank you Judith – I like this stage too….sadly it doesn’t look like this now! Always a challenge for me to keep something from the early stages, it all gets covered in paint!

      It’s lovely isn’t it? I’m a sucker for blues …it’s FW acrylic ink marine blue. I can’t seem to stop blobbing it on everything, though I’m not entirely sure what to do with it, being an oil painter!
